In order to ensure girls live in equal conditions and contribute to their education, the “Grow Your Dreams” project, led by Dilek Kaya Imamoglu, has begun to bear fruit. With the proceeds from sales of Inspirational Steps, announced last March, scholarships will be distributed to 300 girls studying at high school, high school and university. Girls who apply between October 11-21 will be one step closer to achieving their dreams through the scholarship opportunity. The scholarships offered by 4 female students residing in Istanbul will be awarded to 543 female students.
Announcing the grant with the Istanbul Foundation on October 11 International Day of the Girl Child, Dilek Kaya Imamoglu announced that they will reach more girls in need by saying, “This is a beginning.” He conveyed the message of a just and equal world. Imamoglu emphasized that generations are taught by women, noting that women’s education is the basis for development. Imamoglu called the entire society for an equal society and a brighter future, addressing the girls by saying, “Grow up with your dreams.”
Online applications, assessments ended
The needy girls and their families submitted their applications from the website of the Istanbul Foundation, istanbulvakfi.istanbul, between October 11 and October 21.
